Gutter contractors may use different terms for different products and accessories. Here are some terms that are interchangeable.

Outlets are sometimes referred to as drops

Gutter machines are sometimes referred to as Gutter Mills

Spikes and Ferrules are sometimes referred to as nails and sleeves

Pipebands are sometimes referred to as straps

Leader heads are sometimes confused with scuppers and funnels

Zip screws and rivets are sometimes referred to as fasteners

Zig-Zag elbows are sometimes referred to as brick ledge elbows

Zig-Zag elbows are sometimes referred to as dog leg elbows

U clips are sometimes referred to as butterfly clips

Gutter coil is sometimes referred to as gutter sheet

30 degree elbows are sometimes referred to as shorts.
